How are your 3D models different from regular panoramic photo tours?

The main difference between 3D models and regular panoramic tours is quality and ease of use. A 3D model is not based on difficult and disorienting 360 panoramic photos. 3D scanning is conducted on-site at the property. Scan data is then edited and processed before being delivered as an interactive 3D model.

Scanning takes approximately 1 hour per 1,000 square feet. The entire process from scan to viewable virtual tour typically takes less than 3 business days.

Frequently Asked Questions: Drone Photo/Video

How will I view my Drone Video or Photos?

RoseCity 3D hosts videos on vimeo for easy online viewing and distribution. This option allows you to easily post in the RMLS, embed onto any website, or download for offline viewing. Photos will be delivered via an online folder that you can easily download for use with your listing.

Can I use the Video with the RMLS?

Yes, you can enter the video link into the video tour link in the RMLS.

What kind of listings are best for aerial video or photos?

Aerial video and photos are great for most kinds of listings. Even if a property is not an expansive estate, aerials provide a perspective of the property in relation to its neighborhood or key features like parks, schools, etc. We don’t recommend aerial photo/video for homes closely surrounded by trees.

What is the process?

An FAA certified drone operator will arrive at your property. The operator does not need access to the inside of the property, they will just be walking around the exterior.

How long does it take and what is the turnaround time?

Filming or photography typically takes less than 1 hour. The entire process from flying the drone to hosted online video typically takes less than 3 business days. Aerial photography is usually provided in less than 2 business days.

What is the cost?

Aerial photography costs $200 and aerial video costs $399. An aerial video includes aerial photography at no additional cost.

Can you fly the drone indoors?

Due to the liability involved, RoseCity 3D will mostly decline flying drones indoors. However, we will consider flying in certain large structures.
